I have worked in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years.
I previously worked at Warner Bros. Studios in Labor Relations assisting with the WGA, DGA, SAG, AFTRA, and Local 839 - Animation claims and negotiations.

I was also the head of Special Projects at Cartoon Network Studios
Basically, I came up with ideas to help the studio in various ways, from very small things up to running entire conventions like Comic Con.
I also traveled around the country doing recruiting, portfolio reviews, and promoting the studio internship program.
If you saw any of the character costumes floating around social media from 2005 to 2010, I probably made at least one of those.
One of the things I learned early on in my career is that the more skills you have, the employment possibilities are open to you.
I actually started my entertainment career as a temporary. My supervisor asked me to script coverage (reading and critiquing) and after my assignment was over, contacted me to do some freelance writing.
I've done freelance and contact work ever since. I keep learning, and encourage others to do so. While I was at CNS, new studios were opening at a rapid pace, and dependable artists were hard to find for specialized roles. What do you do? You train other artists how to do the thing you need. So, that's what I proposed and created.
Ever since, whenever I have time and opportunity, I try to teach and mentor.

I always try to learn at least one new thing a month. I started creating IPs and did contract work full time when the industry down turn around 2010.
