In short, this is a two part legislation proposal addressing emerging entertainment and education needs in the state. It updates the film board and creates two new entities for education, collaboration and innovation. 

 

Plan Goals: 

 

Restructuring the Film Board’s tax credit requirements to attract new productions and entertainment companies to the state. Create new leaning and job training opportunities. Run a short term relocation program for needed roles, infrastructure support and small  to medium studios. (TERM)

 

Showcase a low risk, high reward state investment in education, job training, and infrastructure, cementing our position as the world leader in the experiential industry. Become the central resource for education and training opportunities.  (FLUX)

 

Provide new statewide creative projects and experiential  installations involving participants from state job training programs, public education sectors, and small businesses. Creating industry collaborations, hands on experience, certified projects credit, archived processes, and showpieces for portfolios and demo reels. Secure sponsorships, learning opportunities, networking, mentorships, internships, direct donations and more.
