The Egg is an incubator for interactive gaming of all types (other than casino).  Includes video games played on pc, console, handheld, app, browser, XR (AR, VR, IR), arcade, skill, motion tracking, table top and more. 

Example Program Overview: 

Untitled Nevada State Learning Reinforcement Game -  Collaboration involving the EGG,  publishing company, Nevada primary public education leaders, teachers, childhood development professionals and FLUX / NSHE instructors and education program participants. 

Create an interactive program (involving feedback from participating teachers) starting at first years of education. 

This is not a substitute for in class learning. 

Students incorporate and apply classroom learning into engaging review sections (called modules).

Students will be assigned in class peripherals (with a blind numbering system) to show which components have the most engagement and assisted the most with retention. Peripherals will not be connected to the internet, and will be turned in at the end of the module / class to charge and download statistics. Triple blind numbering system, and air gap download will prevent any student information from leaking during development phases. 

Reasons for proposal:
Provides an immediate need for students to pay attention in class, write down notes and ask questions to better understand the material for use later. While quiz games and quick warm ups like hangman can be included, as age ranges progress, so does the interactivity. 

For example, in an American History class - using AR (for example, the animations in Pokémon Go overlaid on in person locations), students can play a hybrid version of Pictionary and Charades. The person acting out the famous figure can type in "Top Hat" and "Beard" to have the overlay appear on their team's screen as they act out "Abraham Lincoln". If the item isn't in the game inventory, they can draw it in themselves (pending teacher approval). Follow up points can be awarded for questions like naming his most famous address, the opening lines, the year it as given, etc. 

Another module could allow students to take pieces of pre-recorded video, audio / sound effect and make a social media post for their chosen figure. The more relevant information to the "post" the students include, the more points they acquire.

In practice:
Teachers can use the points on a weekly leader board, toward extra credit rewards, class / group goals - for special privileges (pending approval) and follow up stretch goals, etc.  Teachers can also add points for completed homework, participation during class discussions, students helping tutor each other, etc.

Students will be able to take notes in class (in a paper notebook) and reference them during modules. The goal is application, review, practice, and co-teaching.  

Teachers have control over which modules work best for their teaching style, subject and classroom.

Teachers can also set class wide rules for a specific module, or have the class itself come up with the parameters. Later years can help create content for use in the modules. 

Other benefits: 
The program also allows teachers to track progress, participation and engagement. Sometimes, when students struggle, it's not always apparent. 

Every student learns and retains information differently. By working with other students and participating in modules, concepts a student previously had a hard time grasping may become clear when presented another way. 

"Triple blind" development - students are not tracked, except by instructors in offline format.
