Growth and diversification for the Nevada entertainment economy.

Provides: Infrastructure for film office,  in-person instructors & mentors, support for experiential economy, new jobs, new accessible vendors, new small business opportunities.

Short term program to help relocate experienced entertainment professionals, small studios, production houses, industry support businesses, satellite offices and small entertainment / amusement companies to the state. Defrays moving expenses based on relocation reasons. 

 

Individual entertainment professionals: Instructors - starting with FLUX (in person training for programs like fabrication), mentorship in or collaboration with a  FANS program, opening a small business (and employing residents),  assisting with job training or participation in Nevada K-12 education program.

Small studio, production house, experiential or other entertainment business: Relocation - tax credit expense reimbursement - depending on level of state involvement. Percentage increases for : Resident hires above a certain threshold, providing internships, on the job training, creating tertiary employment (ex. in state manufacturing jobs),  donating resources for educational purposes, and county of relocation.

Industry support businesses - Target underserved and needed vendors. For example, electronics supplies. With the dissolution of Frys, in person electronics purchases have become increasingly difficult. Having a new Microcenter, for example, would be ideal. Mold making and casting - Reynolds / Smooth-On / Silpak,  

 

Work in collaboration with GOED programs to provide additional resources and support, as well as local development authorities. Any other existing incentives would stack with this program.

Satellite offices for larger operations, serving specific purposes including: experiential branches, casting, development and pre-viz. 

​

Small Business: Work with GOED small business programs to target under served entertainment market needs, help establish  small business ownership opportunites for residents statewide.
